Troubleshooting 249
7.21 Compressor Start-up Error
Error Code
L9
Method of Error
Detection
The error is detected from current flowing in the power transistor.
Error Decision
Conditions
Starting control of the compressor does not complete.
Supposed
Causes
Defective compressor
Large pressure difference before starting the compressor
Defective main PCB (A1P)
Troubleshooting
Disconnect the connection
between the compressor and
the main PCB. Turn the
power transistor check mode
setting ON in setting mode 2.
The
difference
between high and
low pressure when starting
is above 0.2 MPa
(67 ftAq).
After
turning on again, L9
blinks again.
Is the
inverter
output voltage
balanced? (Normal if
within ±5 V. Must be
measured when
frequency is
stable.)
Replace the main PCB
(A1P).
NO
Unsatisfactory pressure
equalization.
Check refrigerant system.
NO
YES
YES
Inspect the compressor
according to the diagnosis
procedure for odd noises,
vibration and operating
status of the compressor.
(R22103)
Reset and restart.
NO
YES
Caution
Be sure to turn off the power switch before connecting or disconnecting
connectors, or parts may be damaged.
