Create a Denaturation and Hybridization Program (Denat & Hyb)
1. Select Create a PGM 2. Select Program Type
n Use the arrow keys to move
cursor to “Create a PGM”
n Press “Enter” button to accept
n Cursor highlights “Denat &
Hyb” line
n Press “Enter” button to accept
3. Create a Name 4. Denaturation
Temp & Time
5. Hybridization
Temp & Time
Note: All 10 character positions
must be filled.
n
Cursor highlights the first
name character position
n Use the arrow keys to scroll
through character set
n
Press “Enter” button to accept
characters one by one
n Press “Enter” button to accept
blank characters
n
Use keys 0-9 to enter numeric
characters
n Cursor will advance to
“Denat Temp”
n Enter a two-digit temperature
value (50-99 °C)
n
Cursor will advance to
“Denat Time”
n Enter a two-digit time
value in minutes (0-30)
n Cursor advances to “Hyb
Temp”
n Enter a two-digit temperature
value (30-70 °C). Enter “00”
for room temperature
hybridization
n Cursor advances to “Hyb Time”
n Enter a two-digit time value in
hours (0-99) followed by a
two-digit value in minutes
(0-59)
6. Save a Program 7. Create a Hyb Only or Fixed Temp Program
n Display will now show entered
program values
n Cursor highlights “Enter to
Accept” line
n Press “Enter” button to accept
program values
n Display indicates “Program
Saved”
n Repeat procedure to create “Hyb Only” or “Fixed Temp” program
n Follow screen prompts to enter run times and/or set temperatures
n See Handbook for more detailed instructions
Edit a Program
1. Select Edit a PGM 2. Select a PGM
n Use the arrow keys to move
cursor to “Edit a PGM”
n Press “Enter” button to accept
n Scroll through program
Nos. 1-40/program names
n Press “Enter” button to accept
3. Select Program Type 4. Enter New Values
n Cursor highlights existing
program type
n Move cursor with arrow keys
and press “Enter” to accept
program type
n Use numeric keys
to enter new values for
temperatures and/or times

Select PGM Type
