DC battery power input.
Input voltage of 12 to 24 volts DC.
Connect to the same power that is
powering the sound system.
If this is a DCC system, one of the sound
units needs to have J1 connected to the
track power and no battery power or an
on/off switch would be connected. Switch
inputs s1 - s4 would be functions.

This unit, #711, will produce the exhaust chuff sounds. Input J4 would be
hard wired to J2 gray as page 2 explains. Inputs for J5 would be
connected to functions if desired in parallel with J5 of main unit above.

connect White and Black wire together on
SYNC input as shown. This will prevent
the chuff from playing in this unit.
If no auxiliary amplifier is present, merely connect everything else as shown
except it will be necessary to utilize two speakers. One speaker for the
main sound board, the other for the chuff board.
Dual Systems without an amplifier are connected in similar fashion
except for the amplifier and joining of speaker wires through 1k
resistors. Instead each sound system must have it's own speaker.
Audio input. Connect as shown to
resistors and gray speaker wire from
sound system. Do not use the red
speaker wire from the sound system.

More than one power amplifier can be used. To do so
connect the input wires (gray) in parrallel from the
amplifier to the sound systems gray speaker wire or
use one amplifier for each sound system.
