Digital Signal Processing
To optimize camera performance, digital signal processing should be completed after any
analog adjustments.
FPN Correction
Performing FPN Correction
Syntax: Performs FPN correction and eliminates FPN noise by subtracting
away individual pixel dark current.
Syntax:

Notes:
Perform all analog and digital adjustments before
performing FPN correction.
Perform FPN correction before PRNU correction.

To save FPN coefficients after calibration, use the
84Hwfc
command. Refer to section

PRNU and FPN Coefficients for details.
The QuickCam software that ships with the Spyder 3 GigE
camera has a flat field correction wizard. For easy flat field
correction, use the wizard located on the Calibration tab.

Purpose: Sets an individual pixel’s FPN coefficient.
Syntax

Syntax Elements:

The pixel number from 1 to sensor pixel count.

Coefficient value in a range from 0 to 2047 (12 bit LSB).
