BEFORE FIRST USE • Remove all tape and packaging wrap before using the oven. If any glue remains, touch the residue with the sticky side of the packaging tape, or use a cloth soaked with rubbing alcohol. Use caution as rubbing alcohol is flammable. Rinse with warm water and wipe dry. • Destroy the carton and plastic bags after the range is unpacked.

The weight of a child on an open oven door may cause the range to tip, resulting in serious burns or other injury. • USER SERVICING: Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless specifically recommended in this owner’s guide. All other servicing should be done only by a qualified technician. This will reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to the range.

Disconnect the electrical service cord or shut off the power to the oven before removing and replacing the bulb. • Allow parts to cool to room temperature before touching or removing them from the range. When a surface element is first turned off, the element can be hot enough to cause burns.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Be sure the appliance is properly installed and grounded by a qualified technician. It is the responsibility of the technician to be certain that your range is properly installed. Situations caused by improper installation are not covered under the warranty. Any expenses incurred due to such situations will not be paid by the manufacturer of the appliance.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION: The temperature of the cooktop surface increases with the number of elements that are on. With 3 or 4 elements turned on, surface temperatures are high and caution should be excercised when around the cooktop. Coil Elements: Four switches for the surface elements provide infinite heat settings. The numbers on the dial serve as a reference. The switch can be turned to any setting to provide the exact heat required.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (cont’d) Baking:Any recipe for baking or roasting will give you an average temperature and a range of OVEN COOKING time at which the food is to be cooked. You may adjust temperature and time when you become familiar with your range. To Operate the Oven: 1) Turn the OVEN TEMPERATURE CONTROL to the desired setting. 2) Set timer for manual operation, on models with analog or digital timers, by pushing the STOP button in, electromechanical timer only.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (cont’d) BROILING • When broiling, only the top oven element comes on. Food is cooked by radiant heat from the element. To Broil at Maximum Temperature (Regular Broil): 1) Set the OVEN control to BROIL. 2) Set the selector control (where provided) to BROIL. 3) Pull the oven door open to the first stop (about 4”/10cm). When you are through, turn oven control to OFF and selector control (where provided) to OFF.
CARE AND CLEANING Coil Elements: The surface elements are self cleaning, burning off any spillage. However, removal of large pieces of food or excess oil is recommended to prevent smoking. To remove an element: Ensure it is cold, then raise the front (approximately 1” / 2.5cm) and pull it out of its receptacle. To replace, reverse this procedure. All elements of the same size are interchangeable. DO NOT IMMERSE ELEMENT IN WATER Oven Surface: • Be sure to wear rubber gloves to protect your hands.
TROUBLESHOOTING Before you call for service, review this list of troubleshooting solutions. If none of the below suggestions rectify the problem, contact the Danby customer service department TOLL FREE: 1-800-26PROBLEM 1) Surface elements or oven will not operate 2) Surface elements do not heat properly. 3) Drip bowls are pitting or rusting. Les aliments sont cuits par la chaleur radiante émanant de l’élément chauffant. GRILLOIR Pour cuire au grilloir à température maximale (cuisson régulière au grilloir) : 1) Réglez la commande du FOUR à CUISSON AU GRILLOIR. 2) Réglez la commande de sélection (sur les modèles avec lesquels elle est fournie) à CUISSON AU GRILLOIR.
SOINS ET ENTRETIEN Éléments tubulaires : les éléments chauffants du dessus de la cuisinière sont auto-nettoyants, car ils brûlent tout résidu déversé. Cependant, il est recommandé d’éliminer les grandes quantités d’aliments ou l’huile excédentaire qui y sont déversées afin d’éviter la production de fumée. Pour le retrait d’un élément chauffant : assurez-vous que celui-ci est froid, puis soulevez-le par devant (d’environ 1 pouce ou de 2,5 cm) et retirez-le de sa base.

Desconecte el cordón eléctrico o corte el suministro eléctrico al horno, antes de quitar o de cambiar la bombilla. • Deje que las piezas se enfríen hasta la temperatura ambiente antes de tocarlas o de retirarlas de la cocina. Cuando las hornillas se apagan, aún pueden estar lo suficientemente calientes y ocasionar quemaduras graves.
INSTRUCCIONES DE INSTALACIÓN Haga instalar y conectar correctamente a tierra el aparato por un técnico calificado. INSTRUCCIONES OPERADORAS La temperatura en la superficie de la tapa superior de la cocina aumenta según la SURJA PRECAUCIÓN: cantidad de hornillas encendidas. Cuando están encendidas 3 o 4 hornillas, la temperatura de la superficie COCINA es alta y se debe actuar con cautela al trabajar cerca o sobre la tapa superior de la cocina. Resistencias en espiral: Los cuatro interruptores de las hornillas proporcionan un amplio rango para graduar la temperatura.
INSTRUCCIONES OPERADORAS COCINA Asar: Todas las recetas para hornear y asar alimentos indican la temperatura promedio y el límite de necesarios para cocerlos. Puede ajustar la temperatura y el tiempo cuando ya conozca bien lo DE HORNO tiempo que necesita. Para asar a la temperatura máxima (asado regular): 1) Gradúe el control del HORNO a la posición de ASAR. 2) Gradúe el control selector (de haberlo) en la posición de ASAR. 3) Abra la puerta del horno hasta su primera posición (cerca de 4”/10 cm).
CUIDADOS Y LIMPIEZA Resistencias en espiral: Las resistencias de las hornillas se limpian mediante la combustión de los residuos. Sin embargo, se recomienda quitar los residuos grandes de alimentos y eliminar la grasa derramada, para evitar el desprendimiento de humo. Para quitar las resistencias: Verifique que estén frías; luego, levántelas por la parte frontal (aproximadamente 1”/ 2.5 cm) y tire de ellas para sacarlas de la base. Para volverlas a poner, proceda en orden inverso.
