Installation guide

10.5.3 Test the brine pump
1. Start the brine pump by setting the parameter BRINE PUMP to a value between 30% and 100%. (1 at constant speed circulation
pump).
2. Check that the brine pump is running by:
listening
putting a hand on the pump
checking that the level in the bleed and expansion vessel (111) is stable (Brine/Water). If the level is not stable there is air in the
system.
listen for air
If a constant speed circulation pump does not start automatically, perform manual start as below.
If there is air in the brine system, bleed, see chapter Filling and bleeding the brine system.
3. Stop the brine pump by setting the parameter BRINE PUMP to 0.
10.5.4 Test the valve for hot water production
Reversing valve
1. Activate the reversing valve by setting the parameter REV.V. HOT WATER to 1.
2.
Check that the indicator on the exchange valve's upper side changes position.
3.
Stop the test by setting the parameter REV.V. HOT WATER to 0.
Shunt valve (HGW)
1.
Activate the shunt valve by setting the parameter HGW-SHUNT to + (plus).
2.
Check that the wheel on the shunt valve is turning.
3.
Stop the test by setting the parameter HGW-SHUNT to 0.
10.5.5
Test the heating system circulation pump
1. Start the heating system circulation pump by setting the parameter CIRC. PUMP to a value between 30% and 100%. (1 at constant
speed circulation pump).
2. Check that the circulation pump is running by carrying out the following:
Listen
Place a hand on the pump
Listen for air
3. If a constant speed circulation pump does not start, perform a manual start:
1. Open and remove the bleed screw (1) on the front of the pump. Ensure to catch the water that
runs out when the screw is removed.
2. Insert a flat blade screwdriver and turn it in the direction of rotation of the pump (clockwise).
3. Reinstall the bleed screw with its rubber seal.
4. If there is air in the heating system, bleed, see Filling and bleeding the water heater and heating system.
5. Stop the circulation pump by setting the parameter CIRC. PUMP to 0.
