GRILL, MODEL TSK-2186G – FIGS. 4 AND 5
General – Figs. 4 and 5 show interior views of Model TSK-2186G with Top
Enclosure and Bottom Enclosure removed, respectively.
1. Heat Insulation Sheet – Optional. Mica. Measured 88 by 88 mm, 0.5 mm
thick. Secured to Upper Platen by screw.
2. Pilot Lights – Not shown. Neon lamp. Connected in series with
resistor. Bare leads completely enclosed by insulating sleeving, R/C
(UZFT2), rated 300 V, 200C, and connected with leads, R/C (AVLV2)/CNR,
22 AWG, rated 200°C, 300 V. Secured to Top Enclosure by physical fit.
3. Upper and Lower Heating Element – Shaped as shown. Coiled Cr-Al
resistance wire encased in copper-clad steel sheath, insulated from
sheath by magnesium oxide. Sheath is 6.6 mm OD, 0.7 mm thick.
Terminates at plated steel terminal pins, 1.9 mm OD. Respectively
secured by press-fit into integral channel of Upper and Lower Platen,
and bent tabs cut from integral channel wall and bent over. The
internal wiring leads, provided with crimp devices at the ends, and
then spot-welded to the heating element terminal pins. The lower
heating element terminal pin with the bare leads of internal wirings
which connect with Power Supply Cord and Upper Heating Element,
completely enclosed by insulating sleeving, R/C (UZFT2), rated minimum
300 V, 150C. Each end provided with silicone or ceramic end cap. See
ILL. 2 for detailed dimensions.
Alternate - Coiled Cr-Al resistance wire encased in copper-clad steel
sheath, insulated from sheath by magnesium oxide. Sheath is 6.6 mm OD,
0.7 mm thick. Terminates at plated steel terminal pins, 2 mm OD.
Respectively secured by press-fit into integral channel of Upper and
Lower Platen, and bent tabs cut from integral channel wall and bent
over. The internal wiring leads, provided with crimp devices at the
ends, and then spot-welded to the heating element terminal pins. The
lower heating element terminal pin with the bare leads of internal
wirings which connect with Power Supply Cord and Upper Heating Element,
completely enclosed by insulating sleeving, R/C (UZFT2), rated minimum

4. Temperature Regulating Thermostat – R/C (XAPX2/8), THERMASTER LTD
(E129621), Type DT7, rated 120 V ac, 15 A, calibrated to open at 160C,
evaluated for 100,000 cycles endurance and recalibration tested. The
internal wiring connected to the thermostat's terminals, provided with
R/C (RFMV2) connection terminals at the ends and spot-welded to the
terminals of Thermostat. Secured to Lower Platen by screws. See ILL.
