Wiring Terminations - In addition to Sec. Gen., the alternative means
of the internal wiring connected to the terminals of heating elements,
provided with crimp connector at the ends, and then spot-welded to the
terminals of Thermostat.
Alternate – Same as above, except provided with one steel terminal
spot-welded to each cold pin of heating element. The internal wiring
terminated by crimp-type eyelet connected to the terminals of cold pins of
heating element by screw.
Cautionary Markings - Each unit is provided with the following or the
equivalent on the unit in a readily visible location with a minimum letter
height of 2.4 mm: “HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY”. Also marked with “DO NOT IMMERSE IN
WATER” or equivalent words, the letter should be clear and legible under
conditions of intended use of the appliance.
General Markings - The Listee’s name or trademark, the electrical
ratings, the catalog number, and the date code are marked on an R/C (PGDQ2/8)
label suitable for use with the surface to which it is applied and rated
minimum 60°C. Or marked on the surface of appliance by die-stamped, molded,
etched, silk-screened. The marking label, if provided, was located on the
Terminal Block Cover.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL:
In addition to Sec. Gen., each unit shall be provided with an
instruction manual as shown in ILL. 1. The safety instructions shown in ILL.
1 shall be a permanent part of the manual but separated in format from other
instructions, and shall appear before the operating instructions in the
manual.
