Failure/Shutting
Down
Meaning: Transmitter
has not been able to
communicate with the
monitor for about an
hour and is shutting
down.
Communications
between transmitter
and monitor have
failed.
Monitor is turned off
or operating on
battery power and
transmitter is still on.
Check serial cable and
cable connections
between transmitter
and monitor.
Reconnect or replace
cable as required.
Connect monitor to AC
power.
Check monitor
performance.
General Troubleshooting

Failed to Connect
Meaning:
Programmer was
unable to retrieve or
send information
to/from transmitter.
Programmer infrared
port not aligned with
transmitter infrared
port or too far away
from transmitter.
Transmitter turned
off.
Programmer batteries
are low.
Transmitter defective.
Programmer
defective.
Re-align ports, ensure
the distance between
the transmitter and the
programmer is less
than 4' (1.2 m) and try
again.
Turn on transmitter.
Recharge programmer
batteries.
Contact Data Critical
regarding repair and/or
replacement of
transmitter or
programmer.
