5 Battery management
Xtend Max can be charged in two ways. You can connect the USB cable to the wall-mounted
adapter or you can connect the USB cable to a USB port on your Windows PC.
When the Xtend Max Scanner is in charging mode, the scanner functions are disabled.
5.1 Battery Discharged / Power Low
If you try to initiate a scan when the unit’s battery has almost fully discharged, the unit will
automatically shut off and the following image will appear:
Please connect Xtend Max to a power source for charging.
5.2 Battery Charging
The following image will appear when the battery power is low but the unit is plugged in and the
battery is charging.
Indicates unit is plugged into the wall Indicates unit is plugged in via USB
5.3 Full Power
While still plugged into a power source, Xtend Max will display one of the following images when fully
charged.
