11.5 Bluetooth COM Port
The installation of the Bluetooth module will be creating on the PC two new COM Ports, in order to
see this new ports you have to be selected the COM Ports tab.
You find listed all port for your new Bluetooth device, one is an outgoing and the other is an incoming
port, as shown in the following picture:
You have to be selected the outgoing COM when you will use the Xtend Max in the server mode.
With the server mode you have a faster first connection to the PC Bluetooth application, but when
you turn off the Bluetooth from the scanner or you lost the connection. You have to be restarting the
Bluetooth application on your PC in order to reconnect the scanner.
You have to be selected the incoming COM when you will use the Xtend Max in the client mode.
The connection to the PC Bluetooth application is slower, but when you lost the connection and you
reconnect the scanner to the PC you do not have problems and you do not do restart the application.
