Equipment shutdown and alarm triggers
Description
The C3 inputs can be used to sense conditions where equipment should be
turn on/off, or situations where alarms should be sent via SMS or email. Typically
these triggers are based on a state or pulsed input. For example in the case of the
electric pump control scenario described earlier it is recommended that a feedback
mechanism be employed to determine if the pump should be shut down under a

Electrical connection

• Relays can be used to isolated higher voltages from C3 inputs, for
example when detecting the absence of mains power (Figure 44)
Installation notes
• General wiring guidelines should be followed when connecting these
devices
• Voltage ratings of auxiliary equipment such as relays must be observed
and matched to the application appropriately
