Weather station customers need flexibility when they’re deciding how to install their
equipment. With that in mind, Davis provides a variety of installation options to suit
any weather station owner’s needs.
An economical solution for adding the benefits of
fan aspiration by retrofitting your wireless or cabled
Vantage Pro2 or Pro2 Plus. Less costly than our
24-hour fan-aspirated radiation shield, but nearly
75% as effective in reducing the effects of daytime
radiation. Solar-powered fan runs during the day.
Since there is no backup battery, the fan will cease
running when night falls and the effects of radiation
are less. Kit includes fan, solar panel, additional
radiation shield plates, and hardware.
PATENTED
Add additional Vantage Pro2 or Vantage Vue consoles to display weather data in the den, bedroom, kitchen,
or even in your neighbor’s house, if it’s closer than 1,000 ft. (300 m). Vantage Vue transmitters are radio-
compatible with Vantage Pro2 so you can mix and match components. Receive data directly from the outdoor
sensors or use as a repeater, retransmitting the data from one console/receiver to another, extending range up
to another 1,000 ft. (300 m). With Vantage Pro2 only, an additional console can receive data directly from
any of our special-purpose wireless outdoor sensors (see pages 13 and 14).
