SCOUTcombo Introduction Thank you for purchasing the SCOUTcombo Switch. This product will ensure easy and accurate control over 2 - 4 PCs through a single console. The SCOUTcombo is compatible with USB style computers. The SCOUTcombo supports high resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 without any deterioration of the image quality. Switching between PCs can be accomplished in two ways: through keyboard Hot Key commands or by using the convenient front panel PC selection buttons.
Rear Panel Layout 2-Port switch Using the SCOUTcombo The SCOUTcombo provides two methods to select the desired computer. You may either use the Select button on the unit, or make use of the keyboard Hot Key commands. Keyboard Hot Key commands To send Hot Key commands to the SCOUTcombo switch, press and release Scroll Lock Scroll Lock within 5 seconds. Press a command key followed by Enter, for the desired effect.
The Hot Key sequence can be changed if required. To change from the default of Scroll Lock Scroll Lock please use the following sequence: Ctrl Ctrl [NEW HOT KEY] [ENTER] for example: Ctrl Ctrl Caps Lock Enter New Hot Key: Caps Lock Caps Lock The following combinations are available for Hot Keys: Scroll Lock Scroll Lock (default) Caps Lock Caps Lock Num Lock Num Lock Note: the new hot keys will remain in effect until power is switched off, or reset.
