2 Select the video settings for capturing.

Click on the Options tab on the upper-left of the main interface to
open the Options panel. Under Configuration > Video
Configuration, make sure Video Input is set as Camcorder (or other
appropriate source) and that Video Source is selected as either
Composite or S-Video to match the input jacks you have used to
connect the video source to the DVC-II hardware.
3 Start playing video on your camcorder.

Press Play button on your camcorder. This ensures that a video
signal is coming from the camcorder to the PC for
viewing/capturing.
