Two digital sources such as CD players may be compared nearly seamlessly
using the set up above.
do this: Both CD players and the dCS 950 / 952 MUST be locked to the Master
Clock.
The A / B switch (or relay) MUST change-over within 10ms with minimal contact
bounce to avoid loud clicks and prevent the DAC muting. An ordinary miniature
toggle switch with gold-plated contacts was used during development. This set
up has been checked at sample rates up to 96kS/s.
IMPORTANT! Selection of a suitable switch or relay is the responsibility of the user. It may
be necessary to replace the switch occasionally due to mechanical wear.
