The authentication method is represented as a 5 bit
long field in which each bit indicates a specific
authentication method. The bitmask set, represents
the authentication methods supported by the
Internet account in question.
(MSB)Bit4=1: MS-CHAPv2
Bit3=1: MS-CHAP
Bit2=1: CHAP
Bit1=1: PAP
(LSB)Bit0=1: None
For example, 00111 (=7), indicates support for
CHAP, PAP and None.
None indicates that it does not matter what
authentication method is supported by the peer.
The value 0 (all the bits set to 0) is not allowed. At
least one bit has to be set to 1.
Note: Leading zeroes do not need to be stated. For
example, 111 is the same as 00111
