When testing the Ka-band antenna with the high and low tuning forks in Moving
Mode Opposite Direction, the speeds in the display window
should look like this.
9.6 Moving Mode Same Direction Test
9.6.1 Directional Antennas
A tuning fork does not properly simulate the direction of a vehicle.
When using directional antennas, the radar must be placed in a
special tuning fork mode to perform the same direction tuning fork
test. To activate this mode:
1. Place system in Moving Mode Same Direction Mode.
2. Activate the directional antenna.
3. Press and hold the TEST button for about three seconds, until
FORK is displayed in the MODE window.
4. Release the TEST button. Notice that a tuning fork symbol is
shown in the locked/fast window.

5. Select maximum range, an adequate squelch volume, and the
antenna you want to test.
