CAUTION: PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, PLEASE READ IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY
This transformer has an output rating of 45 Watts, 12 Volts AC. The maximum
load (combined wattage of all fixtures) connected to this transformer should not
exceed 45 Watts.
MOUNTING THE TRANSFORMER
Using fasteners suitable for your mounting surface, mount no less than 20 inches
above the ground. (Fig. 1) Do not mount transformers in heavily shaded areas or
where excessive ambient light will affect the photocell. The transformer should be
mounted outdoors and connected to a grounded GFCI outdoor electrical outlet.
CONNECTING THE LOW VOLTAGE CABLE
Strip 3/8” of insulation off the ends of the low voltage cable. Insert stripped ends
under pressure plates. Tighten pressure plates securely onto the bare wire. (Fig. 2)
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Note: The timer settings for powering ON the transformer are controlled by a
photocell. (Fig. 1) Photocells are designed to recognize daylight and darkness.
The photocell will automatically turn power on at dusk and supply power for the
designated time setting you select.
Before plugging the transformer into an electrical outlet, select the timer setting
according to the instructions below.
On the back of unit, move the slide switch to one of the four positions. (Fig. 2)
“Auto” sets the transformer for “Dusk to Dawn” operation
(turns power ON at dusk and turn power OFF at dawn).
“4H” turns transformer ON at dusk for 4 hours operation.
“6H” turns transformer ON at dusk for 6 hours operation.
“8H” turns transformer ON at dusk for 8 hours operation.
