Step 1
-
Installing the First Deck Board
Install the rst deck board in accordance to the
Ipe Clip
®
Hidden Deck Fastener instructions.
Drill and countersink fastening screws along the
beginning edge of your deck. Then install Ipe Clip
®
Hidden Deck Fasteners as shown in the installation
instructions.
STEP 2

Choose Your Gap Spacer
Choose the size of deck board gap spacing you prefer
from the ve dierent color-coded sizes. Depending
on the length of your deck boards, insert 2 or more
spacers every 24 inches between the two next deck
boards. Laterally slide the spacers between boards
easily with the unique handle.
STEP 3

Straighten Warped Boards
Straighten bent or warped deck boards with the
DeckWise
®
Hardwood Wrench
TM
. This Deck Board
Straightener applies up to 1,100 lbs. of bending force
to straighten any board. Leave the deck board gap
spacers in place and pull them up by the handle after
the deck fasteners are installed.
STEP 4

Hidden Deck
Fasteners and our deck board straightening tool for
best results.
Step 5 - Installing the Last Deck Board
Hidden fastener clips are not used on the last
deck board. Fasten the outside board edge with
countersunk and plugged deck screws. Use the board
gap spacers until the last board is fastened. Remove
when nished.
