Note: The screen from the cable should be connected to the unit frame.

The RS485 conguration is a bus topology, the maximum distance between the initial piece of

equipment and the last piece is 1200 meters (4000 feet), this distance must not be exceeded. The

bus should be terminated at each end with 120Ω resistor.

Important notice regarding EMC compliance - Use only screened cables when connecting to the

Serial Port(s) of this equipment. The screen should be connected to the chassis of the unit.
