Serial Ports

This menu allows conguration of the unit’s Serial ports. Refer to ‘Installing the Unit’ for

installation information.

Serial Port These are the four serial ports available.

Port Cong The serial ports can be congured to specic uses.

Select from:

None Switches port off

Debug Sets port for serial communications

PPP Sets port for Point to Point Protocol

Telem Sets port for Telemetry purposes

Comm Sets port for Comms purposes

EPOS Sets the serial port for connection to an

EPOS (Electronic Point Of Sale) device

Note: It is recommended that Serial port 1 be set for ‘Debug’ operations.

Interface Type Choose the type of serial interface being used. Select from

RS232, RS485 or RS422.

Baud/Parity/Data/Stop/Flow Control

These options allow the Serial port communication settings to

be congured.

Note: When a telemetry protocol is selected, these settings will default to pre-determined values

and should not normally be altered.
