TOOLS REQUIRED WRENCH/RATCHET 10mm PLIERS 1/4" NUT DRIVER BIT 1 On the underside of the cargo carrier, slide the hitch tube [I] into the opening aligning the holes in the tube with the holes in the carrier.
2 Attach the hitch tube to the carrier using the L-pins [J], washers [K], and cotter pins [L]. This step continued on the next page.
Once the L-pins are in position insert the cotter pin into the hole in the L-pin. When the cotter pin has been inserted, using a pair of pliers, spread the ends of the cotter pins to lock the L-pins in place. Repeat this for all 4 cotter pins.
3 Attach the braces [E] to the cargo carrier using four 6mm bolt [G] and four 6mm nuts [H]. Make sure that braces [E] are being used in the step. Note the position of the flange on the braces. The slots on the braces should be on the ends of the cargo carrier. FLANGE SLOT SLOT Tighten bolts using a 10mm wrench/socket. 4 Attach the braces [F] to the cargo carrier using four 6mm bolt [G] and four 6mm nuts [H]. Make sure that braces [F] are being used in the step.
5 Slide the tall panel [B] into the braces [E] previously installed. Make sure the the circular tabs are facing the inside of the cargo carrier when installed.
6 Slide the short panel [C] into the braces [F] previously installed. Make sure the the circular tabs are facing the inside of the cargo carrier when installed.
7 Slide the end panels [D] into the braces previously installed. Make sure the the circular tabs are facing the inside of the cargo carrier when installed.
8 Insert the four pins [N] into the circular tabs to tie the panels together.
9 Using a 1/4" hex bit and drill, attach the end panels to the base use the self-drilling screw [M]. Do not over tighten the screws. Repeat at all 4 corners.
