POSITIONING THE RANGE EXTENDER 4 The ideal location to place the Range Extender is half-way between the Deep Sentinel Hub and the Deep Sentinel Camera that has an unreliable or weak signal. The best connections are established when the Range Extender has a clear path between both the Hub and the target Camera.
The Range Extender relies on the Hub for a connection and it will be lost if: • The Hub is powered off or loses internet connection • The wireless signal of the Hub fails to reach the Range Extender • The Range Extender loses power Avoid placing the RangeExtender on the floor as this may weaken the signal. Power Outlets are typically at a fixed height, but avoid connecting the Range Extender to a powerstrip that is on the floor.
SETUP 5 The Deep Sentinel App provides step by step instructions to setup the Range Extender.
