Pre-Installation PLANNING INSTALLATION Before installing the wired contractor kit, ensure that all parts are present. Compare parts with the Hardware Included and Package Contents sections. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble, install, or operate this doorbell. Estimated installation time: 30 minutes SPECIFICATIONS Power requirements 16 volt AC transformer with a 10 watt or greater rating.

Installation 1 Mounting the transformer □ Fasten the locknut (1) to the transformer’s (C) threaded shaft on the inside of the junction box to secure the transformer (C) to the junction box. 1 WARNING: Turn off power at fuse or circuit breaker before installing transformer (C). C IMPORTANT: Do not install the transformer (C) in an attic location. □ □ Locate or install a junction box (not included) close to the selected mounting location for your doorbell.
Installation (continued) 4 Mounting the doorbell base □ □ □ □ Route the wires through the wire entrance hole in the doorbell base (B). Using the “UP” arrow indicator, place the doorbell base (B) against the wall and mark the two screw hole locations. Drill two 7/32 in. pilot holes and insert wall anchors (BB). Attach the doorbell base (B) to the mounting surface using the two large screws (AA) and tighten securely.
Care and Cleaning □ Use a dry cloth to clean the doorbell cover and base. □ Do not use cleaners or polishes. □ Do not use any fluids on the doorbell base. Troubleshooting Problem Possible Cause Solution The doorbell does not sound. □ The transformer may not be working properly. □ Test transformer voltage output with a volt meter. Set the volt meter to read A/C voltage. Voltage should read between 18 - 22 volts A/C on the low voltage side of the transformer when the doorbell is NOT playing.

Instalación 1 Montaje del transformador □ ADVERTENCIA: Corte la alimentación en el fusible o disyuntor antes de instalar el transformador (C). Fije la contratuerca (1) al eje roscado del transformador (C) en el interior de la caja de conexiones para asegurar el transformador (C) a la caja de conexiones. 1 C IMPORTANTE: No instale el transformador (C) en el desván. □ □ Ubique o instale una caja de conexiones (no incluida) cerca de la ubicación de montaje seleccionada para su timbre.
Instalación (continuación) 4 Montaje del timbre □ □ □ □ Pase los cables por el orificio de entrada de cables de la base (B) del timbre. Usando la flecha indicadora “ARRIBA”, coloque la base del timbre (B) contra la pared y marque la ubicación de las dos orificios para tornillos. Taladre dos orificios guía de 7/32 pulgadas e inserte las anclas de pared (BB). Fije la base del timbre (B) a la superficie de montaje con los dos tornillos grandes (AA) y apriételos firmemente.
Cuidado y limpieza □ Use un paño seco para limpiar la tapa y la base del timbre. □ No use limpiadores ni pulidores. □ No use ningún líquido sobre la base del timbre. Análisis de averías Problema Causa Probable Solución El timbre no suena. □ El transformador puede no estar funcionando correctamente. □ Pruebe la salida de voltaje del transformador con un voltímetro. Ajuste el voltímetro para que lea el voltaje CA.
