Setting up the timer for the rst time
NOTE: This timer will automatically return to the clock mode if a button is not
pushed for 20 seconds. Push the SETUP button (6) once to return to program mode
if this happens.
Remove the protective lm from the screen.
Using the tip of a pencil, gently press and hold the RESET button (9) until you see the word
“RESET” scroll across the screen. Release the button and “12:00 AM” will begin to ash.
Press the SETUP button (6) and “CAL will begin to ash. Press the Enter button (8) to begin
setting the calendar, and the year will begin to ash.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to set the current year. Press the Enter button (8), and the
month will begin to ash.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to set the current month. Press the Enter button (8), and the
day will begin to ash.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to set the current day. Press the Enter button (8) to conrm,
and “CLK” will begin to ash. Press the Enter button (8) once more to begin setting the
current time (clock), and the hour will begin to ash.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to set the current hour. Press the Enter button (8) when the
hour and AM/PM are correct, and the minute will begin to ash.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to set the current minute. Press the Enter button (8) to
conrm, and “DST” will begin to ash. Press the Enter button to begin setting the Daylight
Savings feature.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to turn Daylight Savings time ON/OFF. Press the enter (7)
button to conrm.
NOTE: Choose DST ON if your local area observes Daylight Savings time. The timer
will automatically adjust backwards and forwards an hour. Choose DST OFF if your
local area does not observe Daylight Savings time.

Setting the time zone
View the map below and determine which zone best ts your location.
“ZONE” will be ashing on the screen. Press the Enter button (8) to begin setting your
time zone, and “NOR” will begin to ash. Use the “+” or “–“ button (7) to select the zone
identied. Press the Enter button (8) to conrm, and “DAWN” will be displayed with an
approximate dawn time for your area.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to set your current dawn hour. Press the Enter button (8) to
conrm.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to set your current dawn minute. Press the Enter button (8) to
conrm, and “DUSK” will be displayed.
Use the same process to set the dusk hour and minute, and “SAVE” will be displayed.
Press the Enter button (8) to save the current date and time information.

Operating your motion sensor with the timer.
“PAIR” will begin to ash. Press the Enter button (8) to continue.
A” will be ashing. If your motion sensor is already working with your in-wall timer, press
the Enter button (8). If the motion sensor is not working with your timer, follow these steps:
Switch your motion sensor slide switch (3) to Test Mode “T”.
Your timer will now start to pair with your motion sensor.
Once the timer reads “DONE” on the screen, it has successfully paired to the motion
sensor. Press the Enter button (8) to continue.
NOTE: If your timer does not read “DONE” then switch your motion sensor switch
(3) to Auto Mode (A) and then back to Test Mode (T).
NOTE: Resetting your timer does not un-pair the timer and motion sensor.
“SNSR” will begin to ash. Press the Enter button (8) to continue.
Choose between 1 to 30 minutes for the motion sensor timeout feature. This feature will
start a countdown time whenever the motion sensor detects movement. The light or device
connected to the timer will stay on for the amount of time you choose in this step.

Programming ON/OFF days
Press the SETUP button (6) twice to begin programming ON/OFF days, and “P1 ON” will
display.
Press the Enter button (8) once, and “SET” will display. Press the Enter button (8) again to
begin setting the ON time, and “PRG” will be displayed with the days of the week ashing.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to select the day(s) you want this program to turn the timer
ON:
S, S (Saturday and Sunday)
M, T, W, Th, F (weekdays only)
S, M, T, W, Th, F, S (individual days)
T, Th (Tuesday and Thursday)
M, W, F (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)
S, M, T, W, Th, F, S (default: all days of the week)
Press the Enter button (8) to conrm the setting.

Programming ON/OFF times
There are three options to choose from when selecting the program ON time. Press the “+” or
“–“ button (7) to scroll through these options: DAWN, TIME (for custom times), or DUSK. If you
chose to turn the timer ON at DAWN or DUSK, the timer automatically enters the correct time
and moves to “P1 OFF”.
Press the Enter button (8) to conrm the desired setting. If you have selected TIME, the hour
will begin to ash.
Press the “+” or “–“ button (7) to set the hour you want the timer to turn ON. Press the Enter
button (8) when the hour and AM/PM are correct, and the minute will begin to ash.
Press the the “+” or “–“ button (7) to select the minute you want the timer to turn ON. Press
the Enter button (8), and “P1 OFF” and “PRG” will be displayed. Follow the previous steps to
set the OFF days and times.
Once nished, “Save” will begin ashing. Press the Enter button (8) to save this program,
and “P2 ON” will be displayed, with P2 ashing. If you need additional programs, press the
Enter button (8) and repeat the steps above to set the next program ON/OFF times. When you
are nished, press the AUTO button (4) to complete the programming, and ensure the timer
display screen reads AUTO.
NOTE: All programs are active all of the time. If you have multiple programs entered
for the same days, the timer may act erratically.
NOTE: When completing steps 1-4, the procedures must be followed through, and
you must press the Enter button (8) when “Save” appears on the screen.

Using the random feature
The random feature will turn the lights ON and OFF using the programmed times + or – 30
minutes, giving the house a more lived-in appearance while the occupant is away.
Push the RND button (10) to activate the random feature. The screen will change from AUTO
to RDM.
Push the AUTO button (4) to de-activate the random feature and return the timer to its
current programming.

Reviewing previously entered programs
Press the SETUP button (6) twice, then press the “+” or “-” button (7) to scroll through the
previously entered programs.
Press the AUTO button (4) when you are done reviewing.

Deleting previously entered programs
Press the SETUP button (6) twice, then press the “+” or “-” button (7) to scroll to the
program you wish to delete. Press the Enter button (8) and “SET” will display.
Press the “+” or “-” button (7) until the screen reads “DEL,” then press the Enter button (8).
The program is now deleted, and you may press the “+” or “-” button (7) to select another
program for deletion following the steps above. Press the AUTO button (4) when you have
completed deleting all desired programs.

Activate manual override operation
To bypass the timer programming, press and hold the AUTO button (4) until the display reads
“MANU”.
The timer operates as a manual wall switch in this mode. Push the timer door to turn ON/
OFF your wired light or device.
Press the AUTO button (4) to return the timer to AUTO mode and use your previously
programmed settings.
Troubleshooting
Issue Possible Cause Solution
The light or device
does not come on.
The switch on your light or device is
turned off.
Ensure your light or device connected to
the timer is turned ON.
The circuit breaker or fuse is turned off. Verify that the circuit breaker or the fuse
is turned on.
Does not respond immediately after
installation.
Wait for the initialization grace period
after turning the motion sensor from Test
(T) to Auto (A) mode.
There are dead batteries in the motion
sensor.
Try replacing the batteries in the motion
sensor.
If using a light, the bulb may be defective. Change the light bulb and try to trigger
the motion sensor again.
It is not dark enough outside for the motion
sensor to start triggering the timer.
Wait until it becomes darker outside and
try triggering the motion sensor.
The signal from the motion sensor is being
blocked or the motion sensor is out of range.
Ensure no metal objects are blocking
the signal or try repositioning the motion
sensor.
The light or device
does not turn off.
The timer is in manual mode and turned on.
Press the Auto button (4) and ensure the
timer LCD screen reads AUTO.
Timer programming is set for light or device
to turn on and stay on.
Check your timer programming to ensure
it is programmed for the correct times
you wish your light or device to be on.
Heating or cooling elements (such as air
vents, appliances, etc.) are causing false
triggering at the motion sensor location.
Remove these hot or cold elements if
possible, or move the motion sensor away
from them.
Motion sensor is
triggering light on
during the day.
The motion sensor is in too dark of a location. Move the motion sensor to a location with
more natural light.
