Replacing the battery
Remove the battery compartment cover from the back of the remote
control by sliding the cover in the direction that its threads curve.
Remove the old battery and place a new DC 12V Type 23A battery into
the battery compartment, correctly observing the polarity indications (+/−)
inside the battery compartment.
Replace the battery compartment cover.
Dispose or recycle spent/discharged batteries in compliance with all
applicable laws. For detailed information, contact your local solid waste
authority.
Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
The lights do not turn on, even when the
timer is in the “ON” position.
Ensure the lights are functional by plugging
them directly into the outlet.
The lights do not turn on 2,4,6, or 8 hrs.

Remote control:
ON: When the on button is pressed, it will override the timer’s
current program to on function.
OFF: When the off button is pressed, it will override the timer’s
current program to off function.
Remote indicator light: The LED light indicates that the ON or OFF
button is being pressed.
5. Photo sensor: The sensor will sense for light and dark, and direct the
timer to act accordingly.
6. Outlets: The two outlets located on the button of the timer allows the
user to plug an array of devices into it.
1. Timer unit: The timer will control an array of devices by setting
the dial.
3. Timer dial:
OFF: When the dial is set to the OFF position, the timer will have no
function.
ON: When the dial is set to the ON position, the timer will constantly
be on.
DUSK-DAWN: When the dial is set to the DUSK-DAWN position, the
timer will automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn.
2Hrs/ 4Hrs/ 6Hrs/ 8Hrs: When the dial is set to 2Hrs/ 4Hrs/ 6Hrs/
8Hrs, timer will turn on 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours after dusk.
4. Power indicator light: The power indicator light indicates that the timer
is on.

Installing the timer outdoors
Installation Instructions
NOTE: To ensure proper operation of the automatic function, ensure
photocell sensor is shielded from all night time sources of light, such
as floodlights.
NOTE: Install the cord and unit 1 ft. above ground level, with the
receptacles facing downward.
NOTE: The mounting nail or screw head must extend at least
3/16 in. out from the wall (nails or screws not included).
Plug the device to be controlled by the timer (1) into either of the two
outlets (6) located on the bottom of the unit.
Rotate the timer dial (3) to select the desired setting.
NOTE: Make sure the desired function aligns with the bold arrow
on the front of the timer.
NOTE: Listen for the click sound indicating that the dial has been
turned to the right position.
NOTE: When the dial is set to Dusk-Dawn, or any of the Hour
settings, the timer will repeat the setting daily.
Be sure that the dial is fully turned to the
“ON” position by listening for the clicking
sound.
Be sure that the lights are in the “ON” position
if they have their own switch.
Be sure that the outlet that the timer is
plugged into is active.
The timer includes a remote control (2) allowing temporary override.
See the table below for a description of the various remote control (2)
functions.

Using the remote control

Press the OFF button on the remote and the timer
will turn OFF.
ON
Press the ON button on the remote and the timer will
turn ON.
DUSK-DAWN
2, 4, 6 or 8 HRS
Off - Turns the timer and devices plugged into the
timer off. Units will stay off until dusk or until
manually turned on.
On - Turns the timer and devices plugged into the
timer on. Units will stay on for the time set on timer
or until dawn.

Conrm that the timer is plugged properly
into the outlet, and that the light is turned on
if there is a switch.
NOTE: This product is suitable for outdoor use and use in damp
locations.

Mount the timer (1) onto a wall near a GFCI receptacle with the
timer’s photo sensor (5) facing outward.
Plug the power supply cord into the outlet.
Hang the timer (1) from the mounting nail or screw using the slot on
the back of the unit.
