Troubleshoong
Problem Possible Causes Soluon
Engine will not start 1. Key in the OFF posion
2. Insucient fuel in the tank
3. Air bubble in the fuel line
4. Fuel valve in OFF posion
5. Choke not ON
6. Choke linkage out of adjustment
7. Loose spark plug wire
8. Fouled spark plug
9. Plugged or dirty air lter
10. Bad / old gasoline
1. Turn key to ON posion
2. Add gasoline
3. Prime engine or shake bubble out
4. Turn valve ON
5. Turn choke ON
6. Refer to Engine Owner’s Manual
7. Add engine oil
8. Tighten wire or connecons
9. Clean or replace the plug
10. Clean or replace the air lter
11. Drain and replace with fresh gasoline
Fuel is leaking from the
engine.
1. Primer bulb was pressed too many
mes.
2. Fuel hose has become dis-connected
3. Carburetor has contaminants in it
causing the bowl to ood.
1. Do not press primer more than 3 mes. Wipe o
excess fuel and allow to dry COMPLETELY before
aempng to start
2. Re-connect fuel hose and clamp(s)
3. Fuel tank and carburetor needs to be ushed and
carburetor needs cleaning.
Engine will not start
with electric starter
1. Not using proper gauge cord
2. Safety key is loose
3. No power from electrical source
1. Use 120V 16 gauge cord in good condion.
2. Verify the safety key is fully inserted.
3. Check breaker and plug connecons
Engine will not keep
running/quits
1. Water in the fuel
2. Fuel valve is OFF
3. Low engine oil
1. Drain and replace with fresh fuel
2. Turn fuel valve ON
3. Add engine oil
Augers do not turn 1. Shear pins holding the augers may
have sheared.
2. If the pins sheared, replace them as needed aer
applying lubricant into the sha. Call GXi Parts &

Sha is not turning 1. Shear-Pins holding the augers may
have sheared.
2. Check the gearbox.

Snow blower always pulls
to one side
1. Skid shoes and / or scrapper blade
dragging more on one side than the
other
2. Air pressure in res is not equal on
both sides.
1. Adjust skid shoes and / or scrapper blade so the
scrapper blade drags uniformly on the surface
being blown.
2. Check air in res. Add or remove pressure as
needed.
