Creating the Seed Database
Perform the following steps to create the seed database using Oracle ASM:

Verify the Oracle Clusterware is running.

Open a command prompt window. Click

and enter
cmd
.

crsctl check crs
.
You should see the following output:
CSS appears healthy
CRS appears healthy
EVM appears healthy
NOTE: If you don’t see the output indicated above, enter crsctl start
crs
.

Enter
exit
to close the window.

On node 1, click
Start
Run
.

In the
Run
field, enter
dcba
and click
OK
:
The Database Configuration Assistant starts.

In the
Welcome
window, click
Next
.

Create a Database
and click
Next

Database Templates

Custom Database
and click

Database Identification
window, in the
Global Database Name
field, enter a name such as
singledb
and click

, enter a new password in the appropriate fields, and click

NOTE: Record your new password for in database administration.
