Removing the Palm Rest

Prerequisites

1 Remove the base cover.

2 Remove the battery.

3 Remove the hard drive.

4 Remove the fan.

5 Remove the keyboard.

6 Remove the base frame.

7 Remove the speakers.

8 Remove the I/O board.

9 Remove the status light board.

10 Remove the display assembly.

Procedure

1 Remove the screws that secure the system board to the palm rest.

2 Carefully lift the system board and disconnect the power-adapter port

cable from the system board.
