The multifunctional and aordable Dell Networking
W-AP103H hospitality wireless access point (AP)
maximizes mobile device performance in low-density WiFi
environments while minimizing interference from cellular
networks.
The W-AP103H installs in minutes and easily mounts to
an existing electrical or data wall box, using the existing
structured cabling system to provide secure wired and WiFi
network access in dormitories, classrooms, hotels, medical
clinics and multitenant environments.
The compact and cost-eective W-AP103H delivers
wireless data rates up to 300Mbps per radio employing
802.11n technology with two spatial MIMO streams (2x2:2).
This dual-radio AP features dedicated 2.4GHz and 5GHz
radios and integrated omni-directional antennas.
For wired connectivity, the W-AP103H provides two secure
downlink switch ports, a passive pass-through RJ-45 port
and a gigabit uplink port.
The device can be powered using either Power-over-
Ethernet (PoE) over the uplink network port, or a 12V DC
power supply.
Unique Benets
Advanced Cellular Coexistence (ACC)
ACC enables WLANs to perform at peak eciency by
minimizing interference from 3G/4G LTE networks,
distributed antenna systems and commercial small cell/
femtocell equipment.
WiFi client optimization
To eliminate sticky client behavior while users roam, the
W-AP103H access point features patented ClientMatch™
technology, which continuously gathers session
performance metrics from mobile devices. If a mobile
device moves away from an AP or if RF interference
impedes performance, ClientMatch automatically steers the
device to a better AP.
Quality of service for Lync
The W-AP103H access point supports priority handling and
policy enforcement for individual Microsoft Lync media on
the same device, including encrypted videoconferencing,
voice, chat and desktop sharing.
The W-AP103H access point can be congured to provide
part-time or dedicated air monitoring for spectrum analysis
and wireless intrusion protection, VPN tunnels to extend
remote locations to corporate resources, and wireless mesh
connections where Ethernet drops are not available.
Advanced capabilities
Best-in-class RF management
All Dell Networking APs include Adaptive Radio
Management™ (ARM) technology, which is essential to
creating the most reliable, high-performance WLANs. ARM
manages the 2.4GHz and 5GHz radio bands to optimize
WiFi client performance and ensures that APs stay clear of
RF interference.
Spectrum analysis
Capable of part-time or dedicated air monitoring, the
spectrum analyzer remotely scans the 2.4GHz and 5GHz
radio bands to identify sources of RF interference.
Security
SecureJack-capable for secure tunneling of wired
Ethernet trac.
Operating modes
Mobility Controller-managed AP
Air monitor (AM) for wireless IDS, rogue detection and
containment
Remote AP (RAP) for branch environments
Spectrum analyzer, dedicated or hybrid
Secure enterprise mesh
