Control panel
Removing the control panel
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3. Disconnect all peripherals that are connected to the control panel.
4. Open the PSU assembly.
5. Remove the front bezel.
6. Remove the optical drive.
Steps
1. Disconnect the cables mentioned below from the system board and unroute the cables from routing guides next to the
system board on the chassis.
a. Control panel audio cable.
b. System board power cable.
c. USB Type-C cable.
d. USB Type-A cables.
2. Remove the screw that secures the control panel to the chassis.
3. Tilt the control panel and release the tabs from the slots on the chassis.
4. Gently remove the control panel and cables away from the chassis.
