2. Disconnect the I/O-module cable from the connector on the system board.
3. Remove the I/O module from the computer.
Installing optional I/O module
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the optional I/O module and provide a visual representation of the installation
procedure.
Steps
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the bracket covering the I/O module slot.
NOTE: This step is only for systems that are being upgraded with the I/O module for the first time.
2. Connect the I/O-module cable to the connector on the system board.
3. Insert the optional I/O module into its slot on the chassis.
4. Install the two screws to secure the I/O module to the chassis.
