Steps
1. Align the screw holes on the assembly inner frame with the screw holes on the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
NOTE: Ensure that the tab on the top-left corner of the assembly inner frame is installed underneath the tab on the
palm-rest assembly.
2. For computers shipped with fingerprint reader:
a. Replace the eleven (M2x3) screws to secure the assembly inner frame to the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
b. Place the fingerprint bracket into its slot on the assembly inner frame.
c. Replace the (M2x4) screw that secures the fingerprint bracket to the assembly inner frame.
3. For computers shipped with power button only:
a. Replace the twelve (M2x3) screws to secure the assembly inner frame to the system board and the palm-rest assembly.
4. Route the antennas cables through the routing guide on the assembly inner frame.
5. Route the speaker cable through the routing guides on the assembly inner frame, and connect the speaker cable to the
connector on the system board.

1. Install the 3-cell battery or 4-cell battery.
2. Install the WWAN card.
3. Install the WLAN card.
4. Install the base cover.
5. Install the microSD card.
6. Install the SIM card.

Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the SIM card.
3. Remove the microSD card.
4. Remove the base cover.
5. Remove the WLAN card.
6. Remove the WWAN card.
7. Remove the 3-cell battery or 4-cell battery.
8. Remove the assembly inner frame.
