Steps
1. Remove the two screws (M2.5x9) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest assembly.
2. Loosen the six captive screws.
3. Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the gap around the screw holes to release clips on the base cover from the
palm-rest assembly.
4. Work on the sides to pry open the base cover.
5. Lift the base cover off the palm-rest assembly.
6. Disconnect the battery from the system board.
NOTE: Disconnect the battery cable only when you are continuing to remove other components from your computer.
7. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to ground the computer and drain the flea power.
