haEnable
Enables the High Availability feature.
SYNOPSIS haenable
DESCRIPTION Use this command to enable the High Availability (HA) feature on a switch. If the HA feature is already
enabled, this command has no effect.
If the HA feature is disabled, this command enables it. The standby CP reboots as part of the process.
The command displays a warning message and prompts for confirmation before rebooting the CP.
NOTES The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in
place. Refer to Chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS Commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for
details.
OPERANDS None
EXAMPLES To enable the High Availability feature on a Brocade DCX 8510-8:
switch:admin> haenable
Warning: This command will enable the HA. It will reboot the standby
CP and require all telnet, secure telnet, and SSH sessions to the
standby CP to be restarted
Are you sure you want to go ahead [y/n]?y
y
To verify that High Availability is enabled:
switch:admin> hashow
Local CP (Slot 7, CP1): Active, Warm Recovered
Remote CP (Slot 6, CP0): Standby, Healthy
HA enabled, Heartbeat Up, HA State synchronized
