firmwareRestore
firmwareRestore
Restores the former active firmware image.
Synopsis firmwarerestore
Description Use this command to restore the former active Fabric OS firmware image. This command can only be run if
autocommit was disabled during the firmwareDownload process.
After a firmwareDownload and a reboot (with autocommit disabled), the downloaded firmware becomes active. If
you do not want to commit the firmware and want to restore the former firmware, issue the firmwareRestore
command. After running firmwareRestore, you can run firmwareDownload again.
This command reboots the system and makes the former firmware active. After the switch reboots, both primary
and secondary partitions restore the previous firmware.
This command only takes action if the system is booted after a firmwareDownload; otherwise, the process
terminates with an error.
Notes The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric restrictions that may be in place. Refer to "Using Fabric
OS Commands" and "Command Availability" for details.
