nsShow
Displays local Name Server (NS) information.
Synopsis nsshow [-r][-t]
Description Use this command to display local NS information about devices connected to a switch. If no information is
available for the switch, the command displays the following message: "There is no entry in the Local Name
Server."
Use nsAllShow to display NS information for all switches in the fabric.
Each line of output displays the following information:
Type
Displays U for unknown, N for N_Port, NL for NL_Port.
PID
Displays the 24-bit Fibre Channel address of the device.
COS
Displays the Class of Service levels supported by the device. This can be class 1, class 2, or
class 3. The command displays only the numeric values, 1, 2, and/or 3. A device can
support multiple CoS levels.
PortName
Displays the device port world wide name (WWN).
NodeName
Displays the device node WWN.
TTL
Displays the time-to-live, in seconds, for cached entries or NA (not applicable) if the entry is
local.
SCR
Displays the state change registration of the device. This field displays only with the -r
option.
Device type
Displays the device type if -t is specified.
Fabric Port Name
Displays the F_Port WWN to which the N_Port connects.
Permanent Port Name
Displays the physical N_Port or NL_Port WWN.
Port Index
Displays the index number of the physical N_Port to which the device connects.
Share Area
Displays "Yes" if the port shares an area; otherwise displays "No".
