Administrator Guide
– For a SONET interface, enter the keyword sonet then the slot/port information.
– For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword TenGigabitEthernet then the slot/ port information.
– For a VLAN, enter the keyword vlan then a number from 1 to 4094.
Distribute Routes
Another method of controlling routing information is to lter the information through a prex list.
Prex lists are applied to incoming or outgoing routes and routes must meet the conditions of the prex lists or the system does not install
the route in the routing table. The prex lists are globally applied on all interfaces running IS-IS.
Congure the prex list in PREFIX LIST mode prior to assigning it to the IS-IS process. For conguration information on prex lists, refer to
Access Control Lists (ACLs).
Applying IPv4 Routes
To apply prex lists to incoming or outgoing IPv4 routes, use the following commands.
NOTE: These commands apply to IPv4 IS-IS only. To apply prex lists to IPv6 routes, use ADDRESS-FAMILY IPV6 mode, shown
later.
• Apply a congured prex list to all incoming IPv4 IS-IS routes.

– Enter the type of interface and slot/port information:
– For a 1-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword GigabitEthernet then the slot/port information.
– For the Loopback interface on the RPM, enter the keyword loopback then a number from 0 to 16383.
– For a port channel, enter the keywords port-channel then a number.
– For a SONET interface, enter the keyword sonet then the slot/port information.
– For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword TenGigabitEthernet then the slot/port information.
– For a VLAN, enter the keyword vlan then a number from 1 to 4094.
• Apply a congured prex list to all outgoing IPv4 IS-IS routes.

You can congure one of the optional parameters:
– connected: for directly connected routes.
– ospf process-id: for OSPF routes only.
– rip: for RIP routes only.
– static: for user-congured routes.
– bgp: for BGP routes only.
• Deny RTM download for pre-existing redistributed IPv4 routes.
