Field Description
Path source codes Lists the path sources shown to the right of the last AS number in the Path column:
i = internal route entry
a = aggregate route entry
c = external confederation route entry
n = network route entry
r = redistributed route entry
Next Hop Displays the next hop address of the BGP router. If 0.0.0.0 is listed in this column, then
local routes exist in the routing table.
Metric Displays the BGP route’s metric, if assigned.
LocPrf Displays the BGP LOCAL_PREF attribute for the route.
Weight Displays the route’s weight.
Path Lists all the ASs the route passed through to reach the destination network.

View flap statistics on BGP routes.

Syntax
show ip bgp [vrf vrf-name] [ipv4 {multicast | unicast} | ipv6 unicast] flap-
statistics [ip-address [mask]] [filter-list as-path-name] [regexp regular-
expression]
Parameters
vrf
vrf-name
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keywords vrf and then the name of the VRF to view flap
statistics on BGP routes corresponding to that VRF.
ipv4
multicast
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword ipv4 followed by the keyword multicast to view
information related only to ipv4 multicast routes.
ipv4
unicast
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword ipv4 followed by the keyword unicast to view
information related only to ipv4 unicast routes.
ipv6
unicast
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword ipv6 followed by the keyword unicast to view
information related only to ipv6 unicast routes.
ip-address (OPTIONAL) Enter the IP address (in dotted decimal format) of the BGP network to view
information only on that network.
