Configuring the CPU Utilization for
SNMP Traps
When the total CPU utilization exceeds the configured threshold for the specified time, a threshold
notification is sent as an SNMP trap. If a low threshold value is not specified, the low threshold value is set to
the same value as the high threshold value. The system generates a Syslog and SNMP trap each time the
configured CPU threshold is crossed.
NOTE
: The 5 sec util-threshold cpu command is disabled by default on all switches. To enable the
command, enter the util-threshold cpu 5sec all high {value greater than zero}. To disable the
Syslog and traps for the 5 sec CPU utilization thresholds, enter the
util-threshold cpu 5sec all
high 0 or no util-threshold cpu 5sec {cp | rp | lp slot-id | all} command.
