redistribute
Redistribute information from another routing protocol throughout the OSPF process.
C9000 Series
Syntax
redistribute {connected | rip | static} [metric metric-value | metric-type
type-value] [route-map map-name] [tag tag-value]
To disable redistribution, use the no redistribute {connected | isis | rip | static}
command.
Parameters
connected Enter the keyword connected to specify that information from active routes on
interfaces is redistributed.
rip Enter the keyword rip to specify that RIP routing information is redistributed.
static Enter the keyword static to specify that information from static routes is
redistributed.
metric
metric-
value
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword metric then a number. The range is from 0
(zero) to 16777214.
metric-type
type-value
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keywords metric-type then one of the following:
1 = OSPF External type 1
2 = OSPF External type 2
route-map
map-
name
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keywords route-map then the name of the route map.
tag
tag-value
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword tag then a number. The range is from 0 to
4294967295.

Information
To redistribute the default route (0.0.0.0/0), configure the default-information originate
command.
