Administrator Guide

When you add a peer to a peer group, it inherits all the peer groups configured parameters. A peer
cannot become part of a peer group if any of the following commands are configured on the peer:
neighbor advertisement-interval
neighbor distribute-list
neighbor filter-list
neighbor route-map
neighbor route-reflector-client
neighbor send-community
A neighbor may keep its configuration after it was added to a peer group if the neighbors configuration is
more specific than the peer groups, and the neighbors configuration does not affect outgoing updates.
A peer group must exist before you add a peer to it. If the peer group is disabled (shutdown) the peers
within the group are also disabled (shutdown).
