Usage
Information
This command enables soft-reconfiguration for the BGP neighbor specified. BGP stores all the updates
the neighbor receives but does not reset the peer-session.
CAUTION: Inbound update storage is a memory-intensive operation. The entire BGP update
database from the neighbor is stored in memory regardless of the inbound policy results
applied on the neighbor.
NOTE: This command is supported in BGP Router Configuration mode for IPv4 Unicast address only.

Enable passive peering so that the members of the peer group are dynamic.
C9000 Series
Syntax
neighbor peer-group-name subnet subnet-number mask
To remove passive peering, use the no neighbor peer-group-name subnet subnet-number
mask command.
Parameters
subnet-number
Enter a subnet number in dotted decimal format (A.B.C.D.) as the allowable range
of addresses included in the Peer group.
To allow all addresses, enter 0.0.0.0/0.
mask
Enter a prefix mask in / prefix-length format (/x).
Defaults Not configured.
