Administrator Guide

Version Description
9.9(0.0) Introduced on the C9010.
Usage Guidelines
Select the CAM allocation for Layer 2, IPv4, and IPv6 ACLs, Layer 2 and Layer 3 (IPv4) QoS, Layer 2
Protocol Tunneling (L2PT), IP and MAC source address validation for DHCP, and Policy-based Routing
(PBR). Save the new CAM settings to the startup-config (write-memor copy run start) then
reload the system for the new settings to take effect. The total amount of space allowed is 12 FP Blocks.
System flow requires three blocks; these blocks cannot be reallocated.
The ipv4acl profile range is from 1 to 4. When configuring space foripv6acl, the total number of
Blocks must equal 13. Ranges for the CAM profiles are from 1 to 10, except for the ipv6acl profile
which is from 0 to 10. The ipv6acl allocation must be a factor of 2 (2, 4, 6, 8, 10). If allocation values
are not entered for the CAM regions, the value is 0.

Usage
Information
When you enable this command, if a Policy Map containing classification rules (ACL and/or dscp/ ip-
precedence rules) is applied to more than one physical interface on the same port pipe, only a single copy
of the policy is written (only one FP entry is used). Use this command in Configuration Terminal Batch
mode to enable the settings in a dual-homing setup.
NOTE: An ACL itself may still require more that a single FP entry, regardless of the number of
interfaces. For more information, refer to the IP Access Control Lists, Prefix Lists, and Route-
map sections in the Dell Networking OS Configuration Guide.
