Usage
Information
You can enter the ip address dhcp relay information and the vendor-class
indentifier, for example:
ip address dhcp relay information-option remote-id mac
ip address dhcp relay information-option remote-id mac vendor-class-
identifier

Include the vendor-class identifier option (option 60) in DHCP packets sent by the client.

Include a user-configurable text string with the hardware-related information
(option 60) in DHCP packets sent by the client (32 characters maximum).

Usage
Information
Use this command to include the vendor-class identifier (option 60) in DHCP packets sent by the client.
This option is used by DHCP clients to identify the vendor type and configuration of a DHCP client. The
vendor-class identifier includes hardware-related information that identifies the switch and includes a
user-configurable text string .
