FIPS Cryptography

To configure federal information processing standards (FIPS) cryptography, use the commands described in this chapter.

fips mode enable

Enable the FIPS cryptography mode on the platform.

C9000 Series

Syntax

[no] fips mode enable

To disable the FIPS cryptography mode, use the no fips mode enable command.

Default Disabled

WARNING: Enabling FIPS mode will close all SSH/Telnet connection,

restart those servers, and destroy all configured host keys.
