Administrator Guide

Only configure interfaces as Level 1 or Level 2 on routers that are between areas (for example, a Level 1-2
router) to prevent the software from sending unused hello packets and wasting bandwidth.
isis csnp-interval

To return to the default values, use the no isis csnp-interval [seconds] [level-1 |
level-2] command.

Usage
Information
The default values of this command are typically satisfactory transmission times for a specific interface on
a designated intermediate system. To maintain database synchronization, the designated routers send
CSNPs.
You can configure Level 1 and Level 2 CSNP intervals independently.
