Adding a Unit to an Existing PE Stack
You can add a stack unit to an existing stack as follows:
1. Disconnect a stack cable from the stack’s ring topology. Re-attach the cable to a stacking port on the back panel of the new
unit.
2. Attach a cable from the second stack port on the new unit to the stack port on a unit in the ring.
3. Power on the new unit.
After the new unit loads and the parent C9010 discovers it, the preconfigured software settings download from the C9010. The
new unit functions as part of the stack.
