Power over Ethernet (PoE)
Use the commands in this section to configure the Power over Ethernet (PoE) feature on a C1048P port-extender (PE). PoE is not
supported on C9010 switches. To manage PoE on port-extender ports, the C1048P uses two types of power supplies: the main internal,
fixed AC power supply and an external DC power supply. Each power supply provides 1000W, of which up to 850W is used for PoE. For
information about using the PoE stacking feature, refer to the “Power over Ethernet (PoE)” chapter in the Dell Networking OS
Configuration Guide for the C9000 Series. The following PoE commands are supported on the Dell Networking OS.
